The shell is made of waterproof, breathable ripstop nylon and constructed with two-way sideseam zippers in addition to the two-way front zipper, allowing you to adjust quickly to a wide variety of climate and activity conditions and to access gear easily. For inclement weather, fasten the storm flap at the top of the front zipper and put up the hood (which can also be removed or self-stored under the collar.) Multiple pockets include two on-sleeve flapped pockets, two zippered upper chest pockets with removable ID panels, two angled zippered security pockets under chest flanges, and two hidden security pockets under storm placket. Dual-entry front bellows pockets have side hand-warmers; the front flaps close with hook-and-loop fasteners or can be tucked inside to create convenient dump pockets.
